Introduction to Laboratory Fundamental Nursing
The equipment and planning of the fundamental nursing laboratory are listed below:
A. Practice Area: Ten beds are each equipped with one patient dummy, a pillow, a quilt, an overbed table, a bedside table, a square table, and a bed curtain. Teachers can use this area to lecture and students can practice in this area (see the picture).
B. Nursing Station Area: A nursing station, broadcast systems, and computer facilities are assembled in this area to provide students with the capability to learn and understand the functions of a nursing station and to watch technical videos (see the picture).
C. Storage Area: This area stores materials necessary for fundamental nursing techniques for teachers’ demonstration needs and students’ practice needs (see the picture).
D. Exhibition Area: This area exhibits models and technical standard showcases.
