Demonstration Center for Disabled-friendly Home Care
The equipment and planning are listed below:
 
A. Recreational activity area: bingo throwing, health rings, sensory training hand exercise group, and parachute water balloon games.
B. Rehabilitation area: installed with a safe walking machine, folding walker, teaching sets for self-help skill training, and waist pack walking trainers.
 
C. Bedroom area: equipped with an electric caring bed, a human dummy, an air bed, and a bed leaving alarm.
D. Bathroom area: includes a bathing bed, horizontal transfer bed, and mechanical massage bathtubs.
I. Teaching objectives (annual goal)
        (1) Cognitive domain:
                1. Understand knowledge regarding seniors’ physiological changes;
                2. Understand the design and leading principles of therapy for senior groups.
        (2) Affective domain:
                1. Establish appropriate aging concepts;
                2. Use nursing theories and principles to demonstrate respect and care for seniors during the caring process;
                3. Understand the influence of aging and seniors’ physiological changes on their daily lives;
                4. Understand the importance of total nursing care for seniors;
                5. Understand the role and function of nursing personnel in senior nursing care.
        (3) Psychomotor domain:
                1. Students can correctly perform daily care techniques for seniors;
                2. Students can design appropriate therapeutic activities for both ordinary and disabled seniors;
                3. Students can correctly perform nursing care techniques for disabled cases.

4.          Back massage
5.          Bathing care in mechanical bathtub
6.          Physical fitness test
7.          Group therapeutic activity design
8.          Activation of physical and mental functions
9.          Musical therapy
